Running a Copy, Delete, or Archive Task

This topic explains how to run a Copy TaskA type of Administrative TaskCreated and configured in the Task Manager, a Task queries Events, Hosts, or Scanner Events in an Event-Management Database to perform an operation. Types of Tasks include Layout-Panel, Administrative, and Search Tasks. that copies specified data from one Event1. Either a log message that a Manager has standardized (i.e. normalized) for use by TLC (a.k.a. Normalized Messages), or an event or vulnerability imported from a scanner. 2. An 'event message' collected from a Log Source.-Management Database to another., Delete TaskA type of Administrative Task that removes specified data from a Event-Management Database., or Archive TaskA type of Administrative Task that moves specified data from one Event-Management Database to another. To run a Copy, Delete, or Archive Task in the Task Manager:

In the side bar, select Events >Task Manager.

2.

In the side bar of the Task Manager, expand the group containing the Task.

For a Copy Task, expand the Copy Tasks group.

For a Delete Task, expand the Delete Tasks group.

For an Archive Task, expand the Archive Tasks group.

3.

Under the expanded group in the side bar, expand the database for which the Task was created and select the Task.

In the main pane, clickStart.
