Step 2. Configure your TLC Console

This step identifies some TLC Console1. Tripwire LogCenter Console is the software for the TLC graphic user interface (GUI), or 2. The Tripwire LogCenter GUI. Through the TLC Console, you can configure TLC, oversee your TLC environment, and manage log and event data. settings that you might want to configure.

To log in to your TLC Console:

On your TLC Console workstation, log in to TLC.

Select Start > Programs > Tripwire Log Center > Console.

In the Login dialog, click More.

c.

Enter a Username and Password for a valid TLC user account.

In the Hostname/IP field, enter the host name or IP address of the Manager to which you want to log in.

In the Port field, enter the Manager port specified when TLC ManagerTripwire LogCenter Manager is the core software in your TLC environment. TLC Manager collects and processes log messages from a wide variety of systems and devices. software was installed on the system.

Click Login.

The TLC Console opens (see Figure 47).

To enable the Tabbed Forms view (see TLC Console Views and Components), select View > Tabbed Forms from the menu bar.

To change your TLC User Settings, select Options > Settings (see Changing TLC Settings).
