Working with Axon Agents

This topic explains how to:

Review the status of the Axon Agents in your TLC environment,

Delete Axon Agents, and

Export your Axon Agents to a CSV, JSON, or XML file.

Note 

To access the Axon Agents page in the Configuration Manager, the following permissions must be enabled (see Working with User Permissions) and assigned to your user account: 

API> Allow REST API Logon

Resource > Object > Axon Agents > Delete Axon Agents

Resource > Object > Axon Agents > Upgrade Axon Agents

Resource > Object > Axon Agents > View Axon Agents

To review or export Axon Agents:

1. In the side bar, select Resources >Configuration ManagerConfiguration Manager.
2. In the side bar of the Configuration Manager, select ResourcesResources >AssetsAxon Agents.

TLC presents your Axon Agents in the workspace. To limit the view to Agents associated with a specific TLC Manager, select the Manager from the Display Data for drop-down.

For each Agent, TLC provides an array of information, including: 

The Agent's status (Online or Offline),

The Agent's IP address and hostname,

The version of Axon Agent software installed on the system, and

Information about the operating system installed on the Agent host.

Tip

You can sort, group, and filter the contents of tables. For more information, see Working with Tables).

3. To export one or more Axon Agents:
a. Select the Selected check box for each Agent.
b. Click Export Axon AgentsExport.
c. Complete the Export Agents dialog and click Save.

Note 

When you select an Axon Agent, TLC stops auto-refreshing the information in the Agent table.

To delete an Axon Agent:

a. At a command prompt on the Agent host system, enter one of the following commands to stop the Axon Agent service:

AIX:
stopsrc -s tw-axon-agent-tlc

Linux:
/sbin/service tw-axon-agent-tlc stop

Windows:
net stop TripwireAxonAgentTLC

b. Select the Selected check box for the Agent.
c. Click Delete Axon AgentsDelete.
d. In the confirmation dialog, click OK.
