Upgrading Axon Agents

To upgrade a Tripwire Axon Agent, you must first complete the following steps:

1. Download the latest Agent upgrade bundle from the Tripwire Customer Center (TCC):

2. Save the bundle to the following directory: 

C:\<TLC_Manager_install_dir>\AgentInstallers\

To access the Axon Agents page in the Configuration Manager, the following permissions must be enabled (see Working with User Permissions) and assigned to your user account: 

Resource > Object > Axon Agents > View Axon Agents

Resource > Object > Axon Agents > Upgrade Axon Agents

API> Allow REST API Logon

To upgrade one or more Axon Agents:

1. In the side bar, select Resources >Configuration ManagerConfiguration Manager.
2. In the side bar of the Configuration Manager, select ResourcesResources >AssetsAxon Agents.
3. In the workspace, select the Selected check box for each Agent to be upgraded and clickPush upgrade to selected Agent(s)Push upgrade to selected Agent(s).
4. In the confirmation dialog, click OK.

TLC places the Agent in the upgrade queue, and the Upgrade Status column in the workspace indicates the progress of the upgrade process (see Table 59).

... the Agent has been upgraded successfully.

Error transferring bundle

... an error occurred during transfer of the upgrade bundle to the Agent or the transfer process timed out (5 minutes).

Error upgrading

... an error occurred during the upgrade process or the upgrade process timed out (5 minutes).

None

... the Agent is not in the upgrade queue or in the process of being upgraded.

Queued

... the Agent is in the upgrade queue.

Transferring bundle

... the upgrade bundle is being transferred to the Agent.

Upgrading

... the upgrade process is currently running on the Agent.

Validating bundle

... the upgrade bundle has been transferred to the Agent and is currently being validated.
