Working with Active Directories

If you complete the steps below to add an Active Directory domain controller to TLC, you can create a Dynamic Correlation List consisting of user accounts in one of the controller's domains. For more information, see Working with Correlation Lists.

To add, edit, or delete an Active Directory domain controller:

1. In the side bar, select Resources >Configuration ManagerConfiguration Manager.
2. In the side bar of the Configuration Manager, select ResourcesResources >LocationsActive Directory.
3. To add a domain controller:
a. ClickAddAdd.
b. Complete the Active Directory Login dialog (see Table 100).
c. Click Test Connection to verify your settings.

If your settings are valid, TLC presents a list of the controller's domains.

d. Click Save.

To edit the settings of a domain controller:

a. In the workspace, double-click the domain controller.
b. Edit the Active Directory Login dialog and click Save.

To delete a domain controller, select it in the workspace and clickDeleteDelete.

Field

Description

Username and Password

The username and password of a valid Active Directory user account.

Domain Controller

The IP address or host name of the domain controller.

Tip: In the Active Directory tab of an Active Directory Dynamic Correlation List (see Table 98), you can select Auto to assign the TLC Manager's user account and domain controller to the Correlation List. If you want the Auto option to specify a different user account, select Auto from this drop-down and enter the account's login credentials.
